The Sloane is a tub chair for rooms that sell long dinners. The cognac inner shell curves around the sitter and drops into low arms, while the outer back is a separate grey panel with vertical channel stitching, joined to the shell by a small metal detail at each side.
Construction. Plywood tub frame padded with foam, inner and outer covers made as separate pieces so a scuffed outer back can be replaced without stripping the seat. The seat cushion sits in the tub on its own pan. Four slim tapered legs in a black finish are fixed through a steel plate under the seat.
Where it works. Steakhouses, hotel dining rooms, lounges with dining and private rooms. The low arms tuck under most tables at 29-30 in (74-76 cm) height, but check against apron depth.
Options. Any two-tone combination of contract vinyl, leather or fabric; channel or plain outer back; legs in black, bronze or wood tone. The two-tone layout is useful in practice: a darker outer hides the marks left by passing traffic. Foams can be specified to meet CAL TB 117-2013 on request.
