The Ansel sits between a dining chair and a lounge chair. The seat is lower and the back more reclined than a standard side chair, so it pairs with low dining tables, coffee-height tables in hotel lobbies, or wine bars where guests stay for hours.
Construction. A molded plywood shell with walnut veneer on the outside and padded slate blue-grey leather-look upholstery on the seat and back face. The shell sits on an exposed solid hardwood side frame in a walnut tone, joined by a slim metal cross-rod behind the back. The visible shell edge is part of the look, so it is sanded and lacquered rather than covered.
Where it works. Hotel lobby lounges, wine and cocktail bars, cafe lounge corners, and waiting areas in restaurants. Pair with tables at 24-26 in (61-66 cm) height rather than standard 29-30 in dining tables.
Options. Upholstery in any contract vinyl, leather or fabric; veneer and frame in walnut, oak or black. A dining-height version with a raised seat can be drawn to order. Confirm seat height against your table height on the drawing.
