The Garrison is a tall-backed upholstered side chair that keeps its lines clean. The back rises well above shoulder height and flares slightly at the top, with a single vertical seam on the face and a thin welt along the edge.
Construction. Plywood seat and back frame padded with foam and covered in grey leather-look vinyl. A slim dark band wraps the base of the seat and finishes the edge where the upholstery meets the legs. The four legs are black tapered steel tubes, fixed through a mounting plate, which keeps the chair light enough to move easily despite its height.
Where it works. Hotel banqueting and dining, Chinese and Asian restaurants with private rooms, steak and seafood restaurants. The high back creates a formal look around round tables and gives guests some privacy at close spacing.
Options. Any contract vinyl, leather or fabric; legs in black, bronze or brass-tone powder coat; a stitched or plain back. Tall backs are more exposed to scuffing from passing staff, so we often specify a darker or more textured cover for the outer back.
