The Larkin is a linear, open-frame armchair: a black-stained hardwood frame drawn in thin lines, with a sage green upholstered seat and a back panel that wraps over the top rail. The arms are straight and open underneath, so the chair keeps a light silhouette from any angle.
Construction. Solid hardwood frame, black stain, joined with glued mortise-and-tenon joints at the arms and seat rails. The back upholstery is a padded panel that folds over the top rail and is fixed behind it; the seat is an upholstered cushion on a pan, removable from below. Rear legs rake back slightly for stability.
Where it works. Contemporary bistros, hotel restaurants, meeting-room dining and cafes with a muted, modern palette. The open arms make it easier to slide in and out than a closed-arm chair.
Options. Frame in black, walnut or natural stain; covers in contract vinyl, leather or fabric in any color to sample. Sage and other mid-tones are a practical choice: they hide light soiling better than pale grey or cream. Arm height can be adjusted on the drawing to clear your table.
