The Fenwick pairs two materials where each does the job it is best at. The outer shell, the part that gets bumped by bags, knees and service trays, is a dark green leather-look cover that wipes clean. The seat and inner back, the parts guests actually sit against, are a grey houndstooth woven fabric with a softer hand.
Construction. Molded plywood shell padded with foam, the outer and inner covers sewn and stretched separately so either can be replaced. The seat cushion sits on its own pan. The four slim tapered legs are black-finished and fixed through a steel mounting plate under the seat.
Where it works. Steakhouses, hotel restaurants, cocktail bars with dining and upscale casual rooms where you want a tailored look without a fully upholstered chair that shows every mark.
Options. Outer in any contract vinyl or leather; seat and inner back in houndstooth, plain weave or matching vinyl; legs black, bronze or wood-tone. For heavy-use rooms we specify a woven fabric with a high double-rub rating and a stain-resistant finish, and can specify foams and covers to meet CAL TB 117-2013 on request.
