The Mercer has a tall, rounded shell back that curves around the shoulders and stops at seat level, leaving the charcoal fabric seat to sit forward as its own element. It reads as a small lounge chair but keeps dining height and dining depth.
Construction. Molded plywood back shell, foam padded and covered in forest green leather-look vinyl, inside and out. The seat is a separate upholstered cushion on a pan, covered in a charcoal woven fabric and screwed up into the frame. Four slim tapered legs in a dark finish are joined through a plate under the seat.
Where it works. Hotel restaurants, cocktail lounges serving food, steakhouses and members' dining rooms. The color pairing hides wear well: dark green on the high-contact shell and a charcoal weave on the seat.
Options. Shell in any contract vinyl or leather; seat in fabric, vinyl or COM; legs in dark wood tone, black or bronze metal. Seat covers can be specified to meet CAL TB 117-2013 on request; check what your local fire code requires.
