The Ravel is a statement chair: a black-lacquered timber frame with turned balls at the top of each post and at the front seat corners, a curved back rail, and a sled-style base whose runners join the legs at the floor. The seat and back panel shown are covered in a grey striped fabric with a white animal print.
Construction. Solid hardwood frame, black lacquer finish. The base runners join front and back legs on each side and are linked by a curved rear rail, which spreads the load across the floor and makes the chair hard to tip. The back panel is an upholstered board set within the frame; the seat is an upholstered cushion on a pan.
Where it works. Cocktail bars, hotel lounges with dining, themed restaurants and private rooms where the chair itself is part of the interior story.
Options. Black, walnut or natural finish; seat and back in plain contract fabric, vinyl or COM. Bold prints are a design choice; for heavy daily service we suggest a printed fabric with a stain-resistant finish, or a plain seat with a printed back only. Sled bases need flat floors; we fit glides under each runner.
