The Haddon is a wood armchair where the frame does the talking. A single long arm rail runs from the front leg back behind the backrest, and the cognac upholstered back pad hangs from it on two straps of timber, so the pad floats in front of the frame rather than being boxed in.
Construction. Solid hardwood frame, dark walnut tone. The arm rail is joined to the front legs and back posts with glued mortise-and-tenon joints; seat rails are corner-blocked. The back pad is a padded board fixed to the frame from behind; the seat is an upholstered cushion on a plywood pan. Both can be re-covered separately.
Where it works. Steakhouses, hotel restaurants, Japanese and Korean barbecue rooms with a warm timber palette, and private dining. The open sides keep it visually light even with arms.
Options. Walnut, natural or black stain; seat and back in contract vinyl, leather or fabric; armless side chair on the same frame for mixed layouts. Glides in nylon or felt. Check that the arm rail clears your table apron; we draw this before production.
