The Bexley wraps a cognac upholstered barrel back in a slim black timber frame. On the outer back, channel stitching fans out from the seat toward the top edge, which gives the chair a tailored look from behind, the angle most of the dining room sees.
Construction. A solid hardwood frame in black stain forms the legs and the angular arms; the upholstered barrel back is a plywood form, foam padded and fixed inside the frame. The inner back has a softer lumbar panel in a lighter tone. The seat is a separate upholstered cushion on a plywood pan, removable for re-covering.
Where it works. Hotel restaurants, steakhouses, cocktail lounges with food, and private dining rooms. The barrel back gives the comfort of a club chair at dining height.
Options. Back and seat in any contract vinyl, leather or fabric, single color or two-tone; frame in black, walnut or natural stain; channel or plain outer back. Barrel chairs need about 24 in (61 cm) per place setting, so we check spacing on your floor plan before quoting quantities.
