From behind, the Trestle looks like a wooden chair: two walnut-finish plywood side members rise from the floor to the top of the back, joined by a broad curved back panel. Underneath, though, the seat sits on a chrome steel sled that runs front to back and joins the wood posts at the floor with metal caps.
Why combine them. The steel sled carries the load and takes the knocks from cleaning; the wood is where people see and touch the chair. A sled base also slides more easily on hard floors than four separate legs.
What you see. A straight rear view on white: walnut-tone back panel and side posts, black upholstered seat, chrome sled visible beneath the seat and along the floor.
Where it works. Hotel dining rooms, conference and banquet rooms, restaurants in office buildings, and any room that needs a clean, uniform chair in quantity.
Construction. Molded multi-layer plywood back and side panels with walnut veneer; chrome-plated steel sled; upholstered plywood seat with high-resilience foam; metal or nylon foot caps. Stacking, if required, is confirmed on the drawing.
Options. Veneer color, sled finish (chrome, black or brass-tone), seat material, optional upholstered back pad.
