The Quill is a padded-seat version of the classic ply-and-chrome café chair. The back is a tall, gently curved oak-veneer plywood panel; the seat is a thin black upholstered pad on a plywood base; and the chrome back posts bend forward at seat level to join the seat frame, which gives the chair its slightly raked profile.
What you see. A rear three-quarter view on white showing the fixing screws on the back posts, the plywood edge of the seat, and black rubber feet.
Why a padded seat. Plywood alone is fine for a coffee; for a full meal, a thin pad makes a big difference to comfort while keeping the chair light and easy to clean.
Where it works. Bistros, casual dining, school and campus dining, canteens and diners.
Construction. Chrome-plated steel tube frame, molded multi-layer plywood back with oak veneer, plywood seat base with high-resilience foam and contract vinyl, rubber or nylon feet. Stacking, if needed, is confirmed on the drawing.
Options. Back veneer or paint, frame finish, seat material and color, plywood-only seat.
